Hi all,

So I've put together the following build from scratch and just about ready to pull the trigger. Please could anyone give their opinions ie. areas I should improve in or could save money? Already over budget so don't really have any scope for more costs:

Asus B150 Motherboard - £69.95

Intel i5 6600 - £218.99

Team Group Elite 16gb RAM - £79.99

Superflower Leadex Gold 550w - £80.99

WD Blue 1tb - £41.99

Kingston 120gb Ssd - £39.95

NZXT S340 - £66.95

Total £828.00

Any feedback would be really appreciated! Thanks!

This is a cheaper build and only making a couple of sacrifices.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £750.80
(includes shipping: £0.00)

Motherboard is £22 cheaper and is very similar but with 2*sata for HDD less.

i5 6500 is £20 less but only 100MHz slower, boost bins are slightly lower though.

Memory is faster and cheaper.

Same GPU.

PSU is £32 cheaper, a good brand and it will be hidden away by the PSU shroud in the case you have chosen anyway.

Same HDD.

Same SSD.

Same case.

Thanks guys. Sorry should have mentioned that I already have the PSU as the Gunmetal colour was £10 cheaper last week.

I was looking at the motherboard, but it only has two RAM slots and 1 chassis fan. The case comes with two fans so I was concerned there would be no way of connecting both fans up to the mobo? Is there anyway around this?

Yup your right only 1 chassis fan connector, 2 less SATA ports and 2 less dim slots, maybe the other board is worth it. :)

Just looking at that board and other micro ATX boards, the RAM slots all seem very close to the PCIE slot.

The Red Devil RX 480 has a significant backplate - could this cause an issue? Looks to me like I wouldn't be able to fit the GPU in with the RAM.

Good question, I've no idea, anybody else?
