Hi guys, first off here is a thread i started a few weeks ago about getting a new monitor.
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18303074

I am ready to order this week(Thursday probably) but i would really like to keep the cost down to a minimum, as i have a lot of outgoings over the next month, i can maybe manage the LGW2363D 23" but wonder of the benefits really and I wonder if a 24" monitor for around £140 would do for me tbh

I'm not sure about needing 120hz tbh, as i am coming from a rubbish old monitor so will probably notice any improvement really, lol. I do plan to play some FPS games on it, especially Battlefield 3 when it comes out, but i am hardly a competetive player tbh, is 120hz really needed for me, considering i want to keep the cost down?

Well, it's just arrived:D

Now to mess around with the settings to try and get the best picture. I'm rubbish at that sort of thing, i'll never be happy:rolleyes:

Any tips?
I'm not really sure what everything does, i want to get the best out of it. Lots of reviews talk about it needing a lot of tweaking etc before getting the best out of it, but i don't really know what i shoud be changing etc.

I've been messing around with the picture settings on the monitor, but i don't really know what i'm doing tbth. What are the settings i should be changing?
Anyone else with the same monitor? What settings do you use?

Well, i have to say that i am not very impressed so far tbh. I probably have some settings wrong or something, but contrast seems to be terrible, and turning it down makes it too dark.

I will have to play around with the settings(of which there are very few on the actual monitor) but i don't really know what i'm doing
