i am currently sitting with the decision of my weekend weighing on my shoulders.

i have £250ish quid sitting for a GPU.

these are my options but i need help.

OPTION ONE - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-098-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673 which is on offer plus two free games.

OPTION TWO - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-148-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673 also free with two games but it also has 6 other games which are seen in the pic.

i would really love to buy a GTX670 but it is out of my price range.

Option 1, better cooler, RMA in uk and you dont get the extra games with the MSI, it doesn't mention them in the specs (been through this with OCUK before) :)

1. for safety.
2. MSI are generally great but prior to Christmas, loads of GPU's were returned with cooling issues. They may have sorted it now and you could be missing out on 4 free games.

I would gamble but I am like that. A few quid to return if it still has issues.

monkey said that the games are not with the GPU. i wouldnt risk it anyway after hearing all that about MSI.

gigabyte it is.

has anyone got this card? if so what is it like?

I would go with option 2, but its a close call.

Gigabye have a good cooler and a great rma service, but they do like voltage locking their cards. This would be the safe option.

MSI make great gpu's that almost always overclock well. This card had problems but that's been fixed now or so ive been told. Plus you know ocuk will look after you with the rma. This card will also have unlocked voltage and will work well with afterburner. The overclockers card.

Stick or twist? Its more fun to gamble. :)

went with the gigabyte GPU. im not much of a gambler. i havnt had a football bet up in months. i will take that as a sign lol.

Either or tbh.

The issues with the 7950 TF's are long gone afaik, it was a single batch, that OcUK were unfortunate enough to receive all of that had TIM application issues.

I would double check with OcUK what game packs you will get with either card as the 'Never Settle' promo has been replaced by the 'Never Settle: Reloaded' bundle.

I bought the MSI 7950 Boost Edition last week and its great. Good temps. I bought a MSI 7950 a while back and sent that one back because of high noise and temps. I think those issues have been resolved now
