Reaformatted, no sound

Any idea on how to tell what the make of my sound card is? (I remember a programme what you downloaded and it told you everything..)

Cannot tell from that. If its a seperate card, look for any numbers that could be model numbers and google them. If its onboard, look for the mobo sound drivers.

If youre using onboard sound then tell us what mobo youre using and if its an add in card then its likley to say what it is on the back of the card
