I don't want the Real one, bulky and nasty on the PC..so i presume it's the same for the Mac?..

It's a bit more compact than the PC version. Works fine for me, not as sloppy as the PC version. Here's a screenshot:

Would echo the above statement, on the Mac Realplayer is quite good

I agree the PC version is an appalling piece of crap but, like most things Mac, it actually work surprisingly well. I have it installed and it just sits there happily doing nothing until I have the need to play any real media, afterwards it goes away again and contemplates the fact that it is generally rubbish.
