Real cost of the Gumball 3000

This guy is utterly impossible to watch imho. Mr JWW has released a video of similar name - not sure of connection to this video. JWW is Maximilians brother in law or something.

It's never needed to be exposed, it's been outrageous money since the beginning.

I used to think the Gumball was cool way back when. I loved the movie they did back in 2003, great soundtrack, and it exposed me to these kind of cars way before YouTube and influencers were a thing. Plus it had some great characters taking part.

I can't say I've cared for the last few years, like a lot of things in the modern media it's been done and seen to death now. One thing it's always been though, is expensive! We've always known that.

Just seems like a cruise for rich narcissists now.

These kind of things used to be fun, back when people were allowed to have fun and the cars were more interesting.

Can't watch his videos anymore, it's all 'exposing' this that and the other.

Is gumball still a thing? Gone are the days of Team Polizei getting police escorts through Italy or racing into Rome, imagine it's mainly 'influencers' etc doing it now and with the amount of surveillance it's more of a tour than a race.

Mark McCann's video was a bit **** - gone off him recently - but been following DDE & JWW's exploits on the Saigon to Singapore rally and it looks like a proper Gumball like the old days. Crazy cars, crazy driving, crazy roads. Lots of police escorts but definitely much more authentic and wild than the recent European editions.
It seems they really went all out for their 25th anniversary.

The true cost is well into 6 figures once you take insurance & transport into account. Apparently it costs Gumball over £200k per car though, so it's pretty decent value for money if you can afford it! Plus you get the VIP ticket to the Singapore GP. Shame it was **** this year :p

Great fun, I've been watching Nico, JWW and DDE, has been a great spectacle, we applied a few times in various guises and never had any luck, might try again as this year looked like a proper giggle :)

Saw Nico's videos on it, that man is hard work but Ferrari have been shocking with his car.

Looked like a laugh though, it's always been mega money to do but then it's mostly mega money cars that do it, didn't get some of them shipping cars ahead and flying to miss sections, paying all that money and skipping bits.

I cant be bothered to watch, can someone just tell me how much? lol

Can tell you now without watching, you're paying multile hundreds of thousands just to go on the trip. Insurance for this type of event is also crazy and depending upon the cost of the car you're sending can be multiple hundreds of thousands also. Plus getting to the event, getting home, hotels before and after the event etc.. food, merch ... most people on that event are spending $500,000 plus

It's now really only a multi millionaire / billionaire playground sort of event, or your business is being a social media personality where you can make a good chunk of the cost of the trip back on ad sense and sponsorships and maybe have a mysterious rich backer who can pay for you.
