Real or BS?

When i was doing A-levels one of the teachers gave us all mars bars before the exam "for brain energy!".

I threw it in the rubbish knowing the insulin spike would cause a spike in brain tryptophan levels DECEREASING brain energy. I ate steak and eggs for breakfast for the tryptophan blocking amino acids :D
 
Largest population in the world and still doesn't present much in the way of creativity when it comes to technology. Its not like they're lacking the technological expertise - they're very adept at manufacturing products on behalf of western firms and/or copying products created by western firms. They've got a large presence on science and technology courses at version top western schools. It just seems that, at the moment, they're very good at rote learning & passing exams but they don't seem to be able to foster any creativity - just study/learn/follow/apply etc...
 
I would imagine that on one hand China doesn't particularly want their citizens to think too much for themselves.

This reminds me of the political situation of the Panao island in Just Cause 2 where propaganda machines along with tight security everywhere was used to subdue the citizens lol.
