Real quick stupid question...

Just got a new SSD, installing into my case right now and my case already has a try to sit it on... now my 3.5 inch drives get some little rubber spacers they sit on all happy as larry to raise them off the metal tray. This guy is making sweet sweet love directly to the metal tray. Is this alright or should I make my hard drive tray strap up and wear some protection?

Yea sorry long day at work...
Basically my old 3.5 inch drives sit on rubber spacers in the hard drive trays.. the 2.5 inch SSD would be sitting straight against the metal surface

its fine, the rubber is to stop your mechanical drive from vibration due to the moving parts.

your ssd has no moving parts, so no vibration

SSD will be fine sitting directly onto the metal surface.
