Real world performance increase

My media centre is currenty running an app to convert my media centre recorded tv into ipod video format.

Spec is an E8200, 4 gig of 1066 ram, and a p35 motherboard.

I have an arctic freezer pro cooler, and its at 50 degrees after running for over an hour.

Any idea what sort of speed this chip should go up to,and importantly,what sort of improvement I would see on this conversion

4GHz should be possible if it has a 9x multi and your motherboard can run a FSB of around 450.. Iirc it is a 9x multi, so you should have a good shot at 4GHz.. You'd probably notice a difference at 4GHz if you're doing a pretty long task.

its a gigabyte DS3R ... and the ram is the OCZ SLi stuff that was on offer last week. anyone fancy helping me do this on msn?
