I've had a bit of tidy up in my PC room this week and realised how many game boxes I have kicking about, I also realised how much of a massive waste of space they are.

I haven't got any old retro cardboard ones left so I cant feel sad about it. But it feels a bit strange binning these things. They have literally no use whatsoever.

Do you guys keep your game cases? I was tempted to keep all the CD key slips in each case, but realised that they are all registered to my Steam/origin/uplay accounts anyway and even keeping them is pointless.

Went through that a few weeks back - its quite tough to throw some out - ditched quite a few but some stuff like Quake series I just couldn't bring myself to do it lol.

Even stuff like Kingpin I had to tell myself its pretty much useless junk taking up space these days and/or I can grab it on Steam anyhow.

Yeah unfortunately some games do seem to have a value to you, even though the reality is they are worthless.

I don't even have a dvd drive in my pc these days so even if I wanted to somehow use them I couldn't.

The artwork etc is all nice but not enough to warrant me keeping them. I've binned all collector edition Witcher games and all dragon age etc. I have accumulated a hell of a lot of pc junk over years and these just top it off.

Will never get rid of mine, ah the memories, i have the quake 3 tin and unreal tournament lovely boxed version, team Arena box set, loved reading the game manuals as well, oh aand my fav nascar racing 2003 boxed version.

I sold all my collectors editions last month, I put them on Ebay and I was surprised by how much money they brought.

Got rid of most of mine a few years back, mainly for space considerations, but also because I hadn't looked after a lot of them and they were in a pretty dishevelled looking state. Kept the ones I'm most fond of around, although they're just sitting in a box somewhere at the moment.

I'll think about it when I get home cos I need the space bit really don't think I could do it, I haven't exactly got a huge collection but it's still probably in the 1000's of £ spent region and its be hard to let go, that's just the jewel cases everything collectors edition would be kept

I've only got one but I'm keeping it, at least for now anyway (Deus Ex).

The manuals - when done comprehensively, were always my favourite part of the packaging and contents, well, aside from the game itself.....usually. :)

I took the manuals out along with the case art and binned the DVD cases, if I have a special edition of anything I'll keep it how it was, saved a lot of space doing that and if I want them back to original shape I can always buy some or get some donated cases.

a lot of the crapy games are worth zero but the good ones and rare one's are worth a good amount if there in a premium condition.
Doom and wolf are worth loads £100-200
Quake 1 addon's can be worth a bit
Diablo addon hellfire between £30-50
Fallout can be worth a bit
There are loads that are good to sell some not worth the effort

got rid of all my games, movies, music, books about 5 years ago. all digital baby.

bixes are pointless never saw the point if them even collectors editions.
