Even if its the right stuff, too much could cause you to gain weight but also put on a lot of fat - so don't overdo it.

Realistically, pure muscle is very hard to build. In 10 weeks you'll be lucky to gain a few pounds of good weight.

Uh... you want to gain a maximum amount of muscle but are planning on doing "moderate" exercise... right!

so you want to grow as much as you can, but only want to do moderate workouts?

what do you want to achieve?

I might be hijacking the thread a little, but I'd like to get big to box as a heavyweight. Will moderate tennis help?

so what are we talking?
4st gain? 5st?
help me plan ahead, i'll order new jeans ready

ok, myabe i am slightly deluded!! with a fair amount of exercise and weights - will there be visible results in say.. 3 months? 6? 9?
thank you!

No one can tell you what your results are going to be, because we don't know what your diet is like, how you're going to train, how hard you're going to do that training, how much rest you'll get and what your genetics are.

The fact that you want to know whether you'll have gained four stone in the next nine months makes it look like you're basing your decision to start training whether or not you'll be massive by summer, which doesnt speak volumes about potential for dedication.

The best thing for you to do is to do some reading. Get the sound basics of nutrition, and training down, try a program (NOT one from your gym) and start lifting! You'll soon find out whether or not its for you.

All we can say is that if you do things properly, you WILL grow.
