Realistically what's the guesstimate on 3080 delivery and should I cancel my finance and order?

I have an order for the Msi Ventus 3x which is on finance (half down paid) I had hoped to pay off the rest with my current card and selling my aging oculus.

I ordered it a little late in the day, about 10pm on the 16th.

I get that pretty much most people have been screwed with the limited supply at launch. I just don't like sitting in debt for any amount of time.

Do you think we'll see our cards this side of Christmas? Is it more sensible to cancel and just wait out this shambolic launch by Nvidia, and will the price actually increase over Christmas? Or will the price remain the same thanks to the lower launch price.

If the price will increase (not including scalpers on eBay) but actual retailers then I should probably just wait it out.

Oh yeah? That would be great. I know that you get 14 days I believe to cancel finance contacts so I hope it's soon.

I did the little community made order guesstimator and I got 758 in the queue.

No idea how good or bad that is to be honest.

They aren’t giving estimates dates. That would be impossible.

What they are doing is emailing everyone their queue number I believe tonight hopefully. If not this week at least as nothing received yet.

Wait for the communication from OcUK and see what it says.

Don't quote me on this, but it could be the case that the 14 days begins once the item is in your possession. Maybe double check by contacting overclockers but I would also advice you not to cancel your order.

why would it be impossible to know that they are receiving delivery of X amount of stock of Y card on Z date?

Because with the volume of orders and international shipping - distributors are giving retailers new/changing info daily, which likely barely goes more than a few days or a week in advance.

It’s too fluid to reliably give us semi-accurate ETAs. I’d rather just read the daily stock updates, much easier.

I'd be very very surprised if this were the case. I reckon once my two weeks are up starting on the 16th im entirely locked into the finance, over lockers already took my deposit after all.
 
I wasn't really looking for an answer. The only reason it would be impossible is if the cards were not made or dispatched yet. So be prepared for weeks of delay tactics of coming soon and months of waiting.
