Hi, for some silly reason I set the resolution too high in Quake 4. Now when the game attempts to boot it does so in this resolution but it is out of frequency for my monitor, my screen automatically turns off as a result. Unfortunately this means I cant see to change the resolution back! I know its going to be simple but I cant be arsed to search around how when I can just ask you :)

cheers

find your config.cfg and change it

Good old walker :p I bet you've had to do that one before you sold it to me eh? :D

EDIT: I did actually think to do that but I couldnt see the Config file  I think Ive been looking at the screen too long

surely when u changed the res it would have said do u want to keep this? and if u couldn't have seen the screen due to it turning off would have reset back to the old res ??

just a thought :D

No the annoying thing is changes to the display dont take effect until you restart the game so I changed the game to 1600 so when I started the game up next time the monitor blinked off straight away "out of frequency".
