Really Annoying!

Example:

I extract a 30gb file from drive D to drive F (different drives) and it gets to about 30% and then starts to leak memory everywhere!

It always does this with big files. Similar to when Kaspersky got to 96% then my RAM usage went sky high.

The problem? Nothing seems to be consuming more memory than it should

It's highly annoying. It gets so bad that my mouse will jerk/bring my PC to a stand still. It's as though my PC is starved of bandwidth :(

How are you extracting the file? I am assuming it's a zip file or something.

You could try using a different app to unzip/extract the file, maybe something like 7-zip.
