Really daft question re upgrade of pc

Old pc I have three hard drives and two dvd drives.

Think boot ssd drive c, dvd 1 is d, dvd 2 is e, HD is f and ssd 2 is g.

Now I have built a new pc can I just put the old drives in, set boot order and it update or should I just put boot ssd in and two dvd drives then put other drives in one by one once it's sorted itself out. Or just do traditional way clean install it.

OS is windows ten and was the free upgrade of it.

Seeing as you're using windows 10, it will retain the drives in terms of letters of the HDD, not sure on the DVD's. You can easily change them back though in disk manager. (In computer management)

Yes but they may not have the same letter assigned. I take it you have another hdd/ssd as the new boot drive ?

No it'll be same boot drive.

Use the SSDs on SATA 3 ports if you have them,OS drive to port 0.
