Really high latency

I've got really high latency atm, games unplayable, I ping bbc.co.uk and I'm getting around 400ms average, it's usually like 50ms.

I'm on wireless network, any ideas?

Try cable to rule out internal wireless issues, and internal cabling,if not then you need to look more at your connection
