hi guys, I receive only 1/2fps in the CPU tests in 3d Mark 06 ... yet surely my PC spec is good enough to wipe the floor with it? my PC spec is as follows:

Q6600 G0 OC to 3.0GHz (fsb 333x9) (all voltages default - CPU v1.24)
CPU Idle temp is 29 and load is 42
Foxconn X38A DigitalLife Motherboard
G.Skill 4GB (2x2GB) PC8000C5 4-4-4-15 2T at 1000mhz v1.8 (ratio 2:3)
Arctic Freezer Pro 7 Cooler
Arctic Thermal MX-2
8800GT 512MB OC at GTX Speeds
Hitachi 320GB 7200RPM HD
Creative X-Fi Gamer Soundcard
Antec Ultimate Gamers Case 900
Corsair HX620 PSU

Any idea why it fails so badely? I've tested my CPU in orthos (running 2 instances at 2 cores each) at 100% cpu usage for 12hrs and it was 100% stable ... I've also received a Windows Index Score of 5.9

Any help would be much appreciated! :)

cheers guys

Sounds about right to me, remember its stressing the CPU only so the framerate will be incredibly low as theres no graphics to back it up

Ah ok so it's meant to be low, makes sense now so cheers guys!

At stock settings for everything I scored something like 13000, but since I have my CPU at 3.0Ghz, RAM at 1000mhz and 8800GT OC to GTX+, I should get a higher score.

For my Spec PC what sort of score should I expect?

With my spec I get c. 13,750 without pushing GTX overclock too far. With your spec, I'd imagine c. 13,250?

Make sure you set NVCP to "performance" rather than "quality" to get the best score. You can fanny around for ages if you want to squeeze extra 100's out of the score.
