Really need help, screw stuck in monoblock mount!

So! After installing my Monoblock, I checked online instructions to double check where my thermal pads should go. Noticing I put one in the wrong place, I'v taken my monoblock off.

This is where the problem starts, The monoblock come off fine all except one stand off which come out of the monoblock :\ pic: http://imgur.com/a/Dt8WX

Any suggestions on how to get it off...... It feels like the screw hasn't gone in straight, I'v tried using pliers, used some rubber tubing with cuts to add friction but it wont grip, the standoff is circular.

Drilling isn't an option, I don't want to have to RMA the block either if it can be helped. The thread that goes into the block looks fine. Help please

pair of plyers and some cloth so not to scratch the mount. just be gently and twist slowly.

edit read you used plyers :\ sounds like you cross thread it maybe?

Possibly, I can't even remember if the screw went in smoothly now, wouldn't be such an issue if it wasn't attached to the mobo zzzz

So, my problem is, it's circular, there is NOTHING for pliers or a wrench to grip on

Just ran to sainsburys and picked some up, got it out! But we have gone from bad to worse, possibly....

If you look at the fist picture, the standoff has threaded and will not screw back into the block, the screw looks fine so I fear it might be the block.

With a bit of Loctite, anyone have an opinion on how well it should work?

I'm just thinking that the other 4 screws around the mosfet chips will hold it all together for good contact

The thread in the block looks OK from the picture. Try unscrewing (carefully!) one of the other stand-offs and see if it will fit, then you can be sure whether the thread is stripped on the stand-off or the block.

Whilst that would have been the logical thing to do.... I grabbed some Unibond from Homebase, crammed that stuff inside and we are here, with a completed build. xD
