Hello,

I have an Acer 9300 laptop which has built in wifi. I have recently been having problems with the laptop dropping the signal from the bt hub. so i have replaced the hub and the problem still persists. I do not think its a drop in internet connectivity as my desktop pc is connected to the same hub via ethernet. So my question is "is it likely to be a loose connection on the internal antenna" I have even sat the laptop next to the wifi hub and it loses the signal and the signal strength always show about 1 bar "low" . I know the antenna is above the screen in the acer lid but what does it connect to and where, so I can inspect it. I have had the lcd screen changed about 3 months ago and i am wondering if they have disturbed a wire to the antenna etc to cause this intermittent fault?

Is the card under the keyboard - the Dell one is, and has two wires plugged in to the card coming from the lid - maybe there is something similar in the Acer?

thanks i will look when i get home. I was kind of hoping it was going to be a driver issue before i take machien to bits. Although all the drivers i tried the problem still exists
