I have a Biostar T power P45 Motherboard

Just wondering what i need to set in the Bios?

Will some screen shots of CPU-Z help?

The reason for this question is that a lot of errors seem to keep hinting that i have faulty memory. However, i have ran Memtest 86 for just over 10hours and it came up with no errors.

However, i do have two different types of DRRII ram

2 x 1GB of OCZ DRRII Gold GX XT 5-5-5-12 timings

and

2 x 1GB OCZ DRRII Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC 4-4-4-15 timings

in my bios voltage is set at 1.88 and CPU-Z

well i tired to run Intel burn test today this is what i got:

IntelBurnTest v1.9 - Utilizes Intel(R) Linpack technology
by AgentGOD
Thanks to Cronos from XS for the memory size equation

Description: Linpack by Intel(R) is an extremely stressful program that will
put even the most powerful X86/X64 CPU in the world at its knees. Load temp
under Linpack will be up to 22*C higher than the competing software Prime95.
This program will make usage of Linpack easier and more practical.

Note: Testing under 64-bit Windows will yield the most accurate result, and is
highly recommended. Please read the included readme file for more information.

Operating Systems supported:
32-bit Windows (X86)
64-bit Windows (X64) [not Itanium]

Currently running OS: 64-bit
Physical memory available: 2683 MB

Turn on error detection (Y/N)? y

Stress levels available:
1 - Maximum stress
2 - Half stress (uses 1/2 of available memory)
3 - Low stress (uses 1/4 of available memory)
4 - Customize stress level

Please select desired stress level> 1
Using maximum available memory to stress test (2683 MB).

Enter the number of times to run the test (5 or more recommended)> 6

Conclusion: Your PC has failed Linpack testing.

Why did you receive what you received? If you passed, that's great! If not,
then one or more Residual(norm) values outputted from Linpack did not match
everything else. In this case, it is undeniable to conclude that your CPU
and/or RAM is unstable.

When installing BF2 it always crashed on geomitries at 62% so i did a fresh install and now get this mod error cant remember what it was now.

Crysis took 2installs but works fine now- completed. However, it was crashing but i defragged hdd then didnt happen again error was '2350.DFI sever error'

I have ran Furmark it ran fine at high FPS and good temps.

Shall i just post my OP in OCZ forums?

What other info do you need? Would some pictures of my Bios setting help?

Thanks

As your running 2 lots of different ram, try each set individualy and see how you get on, also check the timmings and voltage of the ram modules, this should be printed on each module.

Alternate, you might need to up the MCH voltage a notch or two as your running all memory banks.

MCH voltage? Would you be able explain more on this?

As i have a slight knowledge on computers but when it comes to software don't know much at all.

Also is there a reason why its only say 400 Mhz in CPU-Z when ram suppose to be 800Mhz?

I will try the two separate memory later. When i have just got one of the sets in shall i run memtest 86 or something?

I jsut wanted to make sure that 400 mhz was correct.

yea i have found that. Got the option for voltage configurations etc.

I cant find the ram timmings where its obvious like wher its says 5-5-5-12. I been into DRR timings but i don't understand what it all means there is number which are something like 4 4 4 12 then there like 3 3 3 19 . Shall i post some pictures of bios settings for Memory timings, voltages, and Northbridge settings? That bee helpful?

Running a tuniq tower.

I will be overclocking yes hopefully to around 3.4 i heard is easily managable with the e7400.

I am just having what seems to be some memory problems at moment. Posted screen shots of bios setting etc and copied errors, Intel burn test wont work, as i get onclusion: Your PC has failed Linpack testing.

Full error in OP.

So far upped DRRII voltage. Will also up the NB by 0.2 V that recommnened? (4 x 1GB)

I also tried OCZ forums and got this reply:

Hi, raise the DRAM TRFC to 55 cycles, i don't see a setting for DRAM voltage setting. It seems to be 1.88V and that should be enough.

If changing the tRFC does not help please report here!

Simon
