...on the first core of my x2 3800 @ 2.75 GHz....takes 21 hour and is worth 364 points I think...most units I get are 385 points ish, but take just over two days to complete on each core. p1495_tet_new is its name.

wish my other crunchers would get better units..btw what do you guys set for max memory when the client is being setup?

regards,
ghgh

Get fahmon, which will tell you your ppd (points per day) which is a good measure of which wus are better than others.

I give it/each the maximum max memory possible. Improves your chances of getting demanding, and therefore higher scoring wus.

I already have FAHMoN but cant see the ppd? i can see how long left for each wu though and its type and how many points its worth. Maybe I need the latest one.

ahhh....on most of my rigs I wrote in half the total RAM as I didnt want it using it all, some of my crunchers only have 512MB such as my parents PC and my 3500 @ 2900...would these two still work ok if I set them to 512MB instead of 256 in the client setup stage it asks?

thanks,
ghgh

Should be fine. In reality there aren't many WUs which use more than 100MB, so unless you do lots of memory-hungry work you shouldn't notice anything. If you do, you can always change it back!

very nice for an amd....what clock speed and ram speed was that at?

I get I'll have to get some better RAM to clock my X2 further...all it needs really to make it a better folder so I can get it upto 3000 MHz with the memory are reasonable speeds.

remember that my x2 only has 512kb of l2 cache where as opterons have 1 meg I think...now that unit is submitted ive got a carp one - it being a:

Cheers :) That was probably at a shade over 2.9 ghz and 205 on the ram, 2-3-2-5. Got 3ghz now on a different chip, and 212 or something at above timings.
