Really obvious but just double checking

I'm upgrading the Ram in my laptop, it's currently 2 x 256mb pc2700
I'm going for a gig so I'm getting rid of those and am going to put in a 1 x 1gb stick.
It is the same price for 2700 as it is for 3200 ram, I know it won't make it any quicker but just double checking that I'm ok to go for the 3200 stuff.

check the laptop supports 1gb sticks tho
