Really Odd problem

Hi guys.

Have been using my pc with a linksys wireless G adapter with a Netgear wireless router from sky no problem for months. All of a sudden the last few days its been really intermittent and rubbish and now today it just won't connect. In the linksys monitor under 'link information' it just keeps saying "you are connected to the access point" then 2 seconds later "cannot associate with access point" and just repeats this, turning on/off repeatedly.

Now the thing is everyone elses ( 5 other people) laptops and pc's connect with no problems! I have even tried my housemates adapter and it still does the same thing, so its not the adapter.

i have tried changing the channel but to no avail.

What is going on!

I had something like this not to long long ago on my laptop. I reinstalled the drivers and it started working again.

Try uninstalling the software reboot and then reinstall.

Worth a go??

i've tried re installing but not rebooting in between, i#ll give it a go

Is it the same with a different wireless device at the other end?

i don't know. I don't have another router to try it out. However it must be my pc because everyone else's works fine. Even in my room and ive tried another adapter which works fine on someones else pc but not on mine..

I'm absolutely at a loss.... :confused:

Have tried it in a different USB socket??

It might not be suppling enough juce...
