Really poor browsing speed?

Hi guys,

Just 10 days to go until BT Infinity and my O2 connection has begun playing up this evening. Browsing the web is an experience that reminds me of the 56k days at the moment - pages are sometimes fine but sometimes take minutes to load, or load half way and stop, etc etc.

Speedtest reports the usual lighting 2mbit downstream speed.

Any ideas?

Be is total waste of time tongiht ..pages hang and really not worth using at present , can,t wait until i get Fibre

yeah I was 50/50 when be offered me a year half price to stay, this has made my mind up.

found out there's a charge if you don't give them a month's notice tho - so that could be a pita.

Doesn't help ... there's something screwy somewhere on BE/O2's network this evening and things are running like an absolute dog, (pages loading very slowly / not at all) ...

Likewise, in fact I was also due 6 months free from them for performing tests for the ISP awards. Have just requested my MAC code and will be leaving now, a shame and don't know who I am going to but it simply no longer can be considered an ISP when only part of the internet actually works!

With regards to the months notice then it is really just a case of needing to complete another 30 days of billing with them. I have just got off the phone and the guy said I could process my MAC code no problem and migrate, just that I would be billed again around this time in May. In fact the bill would only be for a partial period.

yeah i,m the same too ! i have my MAC Code and i will be going to fibre in 2 weeks once my car service and MOT is out the way next week ha! at the monent its either B.T or Sky , B.T is just ahead as i have my phone with them plus pay line rental
