Really quick question about a 147!

A friend in the office has his 147 in for it's MOT and it has failed on the parking brake lights not working. The thing is that he isnt even sure how you turn them on and the garage didnt seem 100% confident either.

Can any 147 owners shed some light?

When parked with the key out of the ignition (or in, dont think it makes a difference), flick the indicator right or left?

As far as i'm aware thats what it is in most cars.

A call to an Alfa garage has solved the problem. You need to turn the ignition back while pressing a little black button on the steering rack???
