Ok, this is a really stupid question.
How do you get Google Play Music to group music by album/artist when you've transferred it across?
I've had an issue for ages with it never properly sorting my music, so I've spent a good few hours over the last few weeks going through it with MusicBrains Picard sorting the tags on my collection on the PC (they were a mess!).
So I've transferred the newly corrected music over to the phone but play music still isn't showing them properly, if anything it seems worse than before (when at least some were correctly grouped).
VLC see everything correctly, sorting by album/artist/genre etc so the tags seem to be working.
Does anyone have any idea what's up with the play app? It is seeing the files but completely unsorted (it appears to not be using the metadata/tags at all).
Is it just that it takes an age to index the files or something?
I've tried clearing it's cache.
I've tried reinstalling the app.
I've tried restarting the phone.

I did transfer about 1000-2000 songs at once, but it's had a couple of hours.
