Just upgraded both my router to a Netgear DGN2000 and a N Belkin card for my laptop. I have tired transferring a file between PC's wirelessly and still transferring at the same 2MB speed my old 'G' network did.

What am I doing wrong as I should be getting 100MB?!?

Silly questions but does the PC have a wireless N card or is it wired to the router ?

It'll only go as fast as the slowest link. If your PC has a wifi G card in then it'll go at the old wifi G speeds.

you won't ever get 100MB/s not over wirless. Only gigabit is capable of 100+MB/s and your HDD can probably barely hit 70MB/s sustained transfer anyway. So if you're looking for 100MB/s then you'll be disapointed unless you run cat5e point to point.

I have since taken all the stuff back to the retailer and swapped it for a Belkin router and a USB dongle all 'N draft' spec. Get around 4mb to 9mb is this normal?
