really struggling to find that next big hook anyone else?

ever since I started gaming ive always had that one big go to game that I always sink absurd hours into and have tons of fun, lately though Im stuggling real hard to sink my teeth into, any suggestions?
Games Ive been massively hooked on in the past -
wow, Heros of the storm, Starcraft, CS GO, COD

Ive tried, gunfire reborn, the ascent, halo, elder scrolls(mmo), risk of rain, metro exodus, theres just been nothing that really hooks me and I normally just log off after a hour and go back on youtube lol,

Kinda sucks since I have a 10700k, 3080 and ultrawide monitor, my pc and setup has never been better but Ive never had less fun with games than these last couple years, I only play maybe 5-6 hours a month at best right now, dont know if anyone has suggestions for some diamond in the rough or maybe its time too hang up the mouse and keyboard :(
 
Gear of War online Horde modes or simular modes

COD Zombies

Back4blood ( when it comes out will be good multiplayer i think )

They are more fun the better you get at them and you cant judge them too much by the first few hours.
 
Factorio. I started this game for a quick go just to see if I’d like it. Four hours later I was still playing it… I’ve sunk hours into the game in the past three weeks
 
I think you just fall in to these can't be bothered moods every now and again. Once you're in it, it's really hard to find a game to pull you out of it. I find going back to some old favourites until it passes is the best way forward. Replaying the Bioshock Triology usually works for me...
 
Yep I’m in the same boat, everything I play is 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there. Waiting for the next game to really grip me where I can’t wait to play
 
Maybe try Hades, or Hunt showdown if you want mulitplayer best played with a friend or two. Escape from Tarkov might scratch you ich
 
Do you like RPGs? Dragonage, divinity original sin, pillars of eternity, pathfinder... If you get hooked on them then say good bye to your free time.
 
My next big hook is just round the corner, the Sept 2nd release of my expected game of the year contender, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous but aside from that theres also Battlefield 2042, Diablo 2 Resurrected, Lost Ark, update 5 of Satisfactory, Age of Empires 4, Dying Light 2, Riftbreaker, Kings Bounty 2 and Deathloop all in the next few months. The immediate gaming future looks rosey :D
 
Outriders has me utterly hooked. I never usually get this immersed in a game but it's just so much fun I can't stop playing it.

Both of these are really good games.

I've put about 1500 hours into PUBG now, but it's not for the casual player the level of skill is so high now.
 
Civ6.. just one more turn!
You can sink days into this game easily.

Watch some you tube videos as there is lots to it.

GTAV is also a hoot!
