i had my board already picked however i didnt go down the amd route, went with intel and well iam lost, so many chipsets. was wondering if there are any amd chipset like 780G( i know they dont do it but something similiar) on intel boards as i have a ati card.

Want to spend 60-70 on a intel mother board, however would like it to have hdmi with on board graphics supporting dx10.
by the way reason, well i want to use the board chip mem for my media center in the future.

After a bit of googling, ive found a possible in the Asus P5E-VM HDMI. Its over your budget though.

Thanks, thats what i've been looking at, however what are good chip sets for ati cards? and why are intel boards so expensive?
however i think theres a problem with vista and 5.1 with that board.

HD3200 on board if possible

You could also look at the G45 chipset. The P5QL-EM looks reasonably specced. Someone with more knowledge will tell you the difference between the G43 and G45.

the difference is that the g43 2 stick and does not decode mpeg2 g45 4 stick and does decode mpeg2, just found that on a web site.

thanks for the time fozzybear

Just thought i'd mention that the Gigabyte board you posted only has PCIe x 4 and not PCIe x 16. Needn't matter if you only use onboard gfx.

arh i need it for my 4850 ati card, as ill be using the board till i upgrade next time, just wanted to make a media center with the left overs after my next upgrade late next year.
