I have Super Mario Brothers on my DS but have no idea how to save the game! How do I save? If it is meant to autosave it doesn't...

You can only save after you beat a tower or castle. A message will pop up asking if you want to save.

After beating the whole game you can save at anytime.

Oh right! That's not very portable friendly! That sucks cos I'm awful at Mario lol.

Yeah it annoyed me too.
There might also be a quick save option if you go to the menu when on the world map. I think this will quit the game and save. It's been a while since I played it so I'm not certain.

You can also save by unlocking something with star coins.
