Hi I have just had a new PC built for me and i decided to go with Windows 8.1 as my OS, and i have a really stupid question lol...

I was going to edit some .ini files (Text Documents) for a game i play, and in Windows 7 i always used 'Text Pad' (I think that is what it was called' anyway in Windows 8.1 it only gives me the option to use 'Note Pad' which warps all the text and makes it a complete head ache to use, any ideas how i can get 'Text Pad' back? (I can't find it on my system just crappy 'Note Pad' and 'Word Pad')

You can disable word wrap in Notepad under the "Format" menu, alternatively if you want to use TextPad you will need to Google "TextPad" then download it and install it because it's not included in Windows 8.1.

if you disable word wrap it makes everything write in a straight line and not neat like text documents are, text pad on google is just a trial and you have to buy it, i dont think it is the same thing that i used for 'Text Documents' on Windows 7 :S

The files are .txt meant to open as text documents not with that rubbish 'Notepad' app.

Thanks that is much better for .txt, .Ini's and .Xml's, Atleast it gets the words the right way round unlike Notepad, still would rather the normal windows 7 program to use tho.
