Yep, 8KB text files are tough to store for more than 2 weeks according to MS :-/

Yeah I've noticed this too, it's rather silly. It's usually just saying that there's a free Gold weekend coming up, nothing important.

I love the fact they send them and also emails promoting the same thing to me, a paying gold member. Stupidity.

hmm 8Kb might seem small, but think of the 33 million xbox live users... not such a small amount then

If each one stores one message, it's 264gb...a terabyte of storage is what, £50? So for £500 they could store 40 messages per member...
