Hey, i recently recieved 8GB of the OCZ Ram that was on offer, 4 x 2GB Sticks, i got some BSOD's regarding memory this morning so i ran memtest for 1 pass and with all 8GB it showed 95000 Errors, so i test each kit 2 x 2GB and they were fine, finished 1 pass no errors on each channel for each kit. Yet with all 8GB installed i get occasional BSOD's and errors on Memtest?

Was running at the rated 1333Mhz 7-7-7-20 at 1.65v as reccomended by OCZ.

Help Please?

Thanks
Ross

I mean, 4GB 7-7-7-20 at 1.5v works flawless no Errors in MemTest or BSOD's. but 8GB at 7-7-7-20 at 1.65v dosn't? I even tried it at the reccomended timings and volts by CPU-Z but it still gave me errors with 8GB but not 4GB.

Bios is up to date. It's a very very weird problem. How all 4 DIMMS work in no matter which channel, but only 2 at a time. All 4 it causes errors and BSOD's. Would that MemOK! Function make a difference? I don't think its on.

Does this mean you haven't tried 8GB at 1.5v?

Yeah i tried it at 1.5v and the stated 1.65v. Read through my Motherboard manual and it may be that the Normal non Low Voltage Kit is listed as it is and isn't compatable with 4 modules which is strange. But i then retested the kit of modules i am not using and found that on The Second Slot and the Second Blue Slot were only running at DDR 400 mode.

By now though, its too much hassle. i requested a RMA and a Refund, since my Mobo says about the non low voltage stuff not being compatable in that configuration.

I tried MemOK button on my Mobo, and its running both kits flawless under Memtest at 1066Mhz, 7-7-7-16 i think its 1.5v im not sure. Not seen much of a difference between 1333Mhz and 1066mhz so im happy lol

Thanks for any help anyway.
