Ok guys any suggestions as I have googled to death and tried everything that seems to have been suggested.
I have a Windows 7 PC with a burnt CD of images that shows the image thumbnails upto medium but on either large or extra large the thumbnails are replaced by the windows image placeholder (you can see the thumbnails for a moment but windows spins the cd up then the thumbnails are replaced by the placeholders). This same disc works on on other windows 7 machine and if I copy the disc to a folder on the desktop the thumbnails appear in large or extra large. Now this is the weird thing it seems to work ok in safe mode and diagnostic mode.
I have cleared the thumnbnail cache etc and tried the various reg settings for no tumbnails on slow network etc
It has to be some software or a windows service, I have taken an image of the install and am un-installing stuff now.
Any ideas?
