E30 that has a turbo'd M5 3.6 engine, with custom made everything under the sun and about 700hp with the possibility of running it with 1044hp.

Err yeah actually. Of the cars I've owned, the ones with more power than grip have been a complete hoot to drive. Clearly you need to be a lot more controller in your use of the power, but all the same, nice to be able to get the car sideways at will.
For all that, the only car I've ever owned that was close to that, had nothing like the power of the E30 you mention. Mine simply had crap tyres and "reasonable" power levels.
