My friend recently purchased the Pc below from OCUK

From day one running all normal applications there is sound, Dvd's, Cd Music, games etc. But as soon as you log onto the internet you cannot hear the sounds from video clips (you tube, sky news etc)
I have put all the sound settings to maximum in all the normal sound applications to see if one is affecting the other, downloaded the latest Realtek drivers, latest codecs, tweeked to ensure internet settings accept sound but still no sound...crazy!
In windows messenger you can send 'winks and nudges that have sound clips, one minute they work (noise) then they can be silent but at least they work sometimes. Video clips on the other hand have never worked apart from in Real Player.

Please please if anyone know something more advanced can they please help as I cannot figure this out, never seen anything like it before and it's their first ever pc
