Realtek EAX2, still broken?

Last time I used Realtek audio EAX didn't work properly, with things such as occlusions going wrong.

Does anyone know whether Realtek have fixed EAX2, or whether it's still broken? I don't have a HD audio chip to try it on, but a laptop I'm getting might, could anyone give it a go please?

It's game dependent. Some games are fine. I last used my onboard realtek about 6 months ago and didn't notice too many problems.

I heard the Battlefield series (2 onwards) was particularly badly affected though.

Alright, thanks. What are Analog Devices like for EAX? Anyone used one? (basically which integrated audio manufacturer does EAX2 properly?)
