Hi Folks,

Could you advice me on which temp monitoring software I should install on my new rig please.

RealTemp Vs Coretemp Vs CPUID Vs etc ... after reading them I am still confuse as to which to choose.

Also my system sometime gives out a soft one short beep (Award Bios) but I cannot never find the answer on the Award Bios manual. This is not the one short loud beep during the booting up. It happens randomly while I am using the pc ... only one soft short beep and not repeating nor loud. Just ramdom.

CPU too warm? RAM not seated properly? hhhmmm ...

I use Everest and find it monitors just about all I want.

The beep might be a result from keyboard mashing? Or pressing shift too many times and windows trying to activate stickykeys?

Finally I installed CoreTemp (standalone 64bits) so far so good.:D

Spec:

Lian-Li V351, Gigabyte P55m-UD2, Win7x64, Intel i5 750, 4GB RAM, Corsair H-50, two Akasa Apache 120mm PWM fans at the front (pull air ), rear stock 80mm fan (push air) for HDDs and two rear 40mm fans (push air).

The idle temp (all four cores) is around 22C - 24C.

The highest/max temp recorded for the core is at 40C (core 3).

What a different by comparison to my laptop which idle at 40C - 42C.

:)

p/s: I was looking HWMonitor but decided not to use it since it comes with "ASK tool bar or wanted to install ASK tool bar". Did not try realtemp etc as Coretemp is good enough for not being intrusive. i.e. easy to install and to uninstall.
