RealVNC Client + Vista = Error?

For a while now, I have been remotely accessing a Win98
machine thru RealVNC.

I've used the client in Windows XP with no problems at all, but now I've upgraded to Vista, I now get this message when I try and connect:

"VNC Viewer : error

unable to connect to host: Connection timed out (10060)"

Anyone managed to get realVNC working under vista? If not, is there a web-based version of the client (al la Remote Desktop)?

I use RealVNC Enterprise edition and it works a charm, no workarounds needed or the like

Thanks for the workaround link....

I'm trying to run the client on the vista machine tho, not the server...

I've tried turning off the firewall in vista - made no difference.

The remote machine is 10 miles away tho, and it is possible it's been turned off, so I'm going check this before going any further up a blind alley...

EDIT: Computer was turned on, but port forwarding got screwed for some reason... It's now working.
