Can anyone suggest a really good quite fan with good air flow?

I got a S-FLEX 120mm Fan but its still not quite enough, how about the Noctua NF-S12 a better option?

Or will I not get anything better?

Thanks.

im always recommending a fan controller for fans,
any fan on full rpm isnt quiet, and any fan that is silent doesnt push much air at all - i dont really think theres any way round it. i class my nocs as loud when on full rpm.

BUT, with a controller, when you need silence you can have it, and when you want high airflow, you can have that too :)

The Akasa fans are underated.

Have a look at THESE and only £5.74 ea.

- Dim: 120 x 120 x 25mm
- Rated speed: 1400 RPM
- Sound: 18.0 dB(A)
- Air flow: 49.74 CFM

Edit the review in there states they are only 38CFM.

Agreed, for best possible silence/airflow ratio your going to want something like the noctuas and a fan controller.

I would also recommend the sharkoon silent eagle fans on a fan controller but not completely sure about how they compare with noctuas.

Noiseblocker Multiframe S 120mm MF12-S2 - 1250 RPM
19 dB (A)
51.2 CFM (12v)
Forget specs. Only thing right in them is speed and size of fan.
These branders measure noise from building in other end of block if not from other city. Also SPCR is only review site which has tried to measure airflow reliably and those results are often as far from advertised.

As for fan that multipart frame looks more likely marketing gimmick than real feature and if anything frame looks so thin it's going to increase vibration because of light construction just like in bling-bling trash-thrash Arctic Fan

i wouldn't trust any akasa fans of that design/construction.
i've tested bigger version, ak-195-bl, which has absolutely worst sleeve bearing noise i've heard at all speeds and instead of being drowned at full speed it just gets louder with "ringing" tone (resonance of brittle bling-bling plastic) rising still above airflow noise. and notable vibration crowns the whole as one of the absolutely crappiest fan i've listened. (along that arctic fan and one cooltek)

scythe slipstreams is only little more expensive and among the best if not the best fan with its very smooth near nonexistent bearing/motor noise, high airflow for speed and lack of vibrations and resonances.
makes noctua look like overpriced.

Like measurements show 800rpm version is good for quiet without undervolting and little above 1000rpm fans need fan controller for lowering airflow noises.
