realy slow connection

I'm having some problems with my connection it's super slow and sometimes doesn't load a page at all on my netgear smart wizard it says only 26mb when it's usualy 100mb+, see picture. I've tired re starting router, re-setting router, un-installing the software and drivers but it's still like this.

I tried checking my speed on speedtest.net but the page fails to load all the time.

I'm with virgin media, 30MB service and have there superhub, lately I've been having problems with it but never before.

Wait, what? You usually have 100Mb on a 30Mb service? I think you're talking about the physical link speed of your wireless, which is something else entirely. That said, if your link speed is 30Mb you're going to see very poor performance, as actual throughput is usually far lower than the stated link speed.

Connect a PC by ethernet cable to the router and see how that works. Just to rule out your actual Internet connection. Also, the Superhub (and most ISP-supplied modem/router combinations) is known to have pretty bad WiFi performance.

If it turns out WiFi is indeed the issue, try changing your WiFi channel to 11, 12 or 13, as these are far less common than channel 1 and should suffer less from interference.

I finaly managed to change to channel 9, seems to be just fine now and not the actual the speed, the speed on the netgear software was reading 100mbs+
