reapling thermal paste?

Hi guys, the laptop i currenty use is a basic i3 with 4gb of ran i got from argos for £400
About 2 years ago.

Recently is been running very hot, sometimes hits over 100 degrees, which it's when it will shut it self off.

Basically i have no experiance of taking laptops apart and wondered if it was possible to reapply thermal paste to the CPU with out much difficulty?

Normally, it means stripping the entire thing down, but it's rarely all that hard.

What make/model is it?

My friend has the same laptop, and the same problem, sorting his out next week, any idea what limit there is on the processor you can stick in them?
