Rear Ended, Help

This sounds like a good plan, its only a 1.4 fiesta so anything will be comparable I suppose. Although it has leather :p

Edit: I can't see the £10 insurance thing on their website, are you sure its them?

It'll get mentioned when you ring them up.

Photos were a wise move.

If the car is going to be repaired, then carefully chose which accident management company (if any) you choose, I've heard mixed reports about Hire Help for example. I think it's rg-tom here who had issues with their repairer's work on his Mondeo.

If it's a write off, then it really doesn't matter as much, they're just doing the paperwork, giving you a properly equivalent hire car, and getting you the best price for your car.

The repair quality is really down to the individual garage, you can choose your own if you prefer and Help Hire etc. will be fine with this.

Of course, if you don't have a trusted repairer already because you've never been in this situation before, you're kind of stuffed, unless you know someone local who can recommend one.

I have a recommended garage, but I think with Help hire you have to go to their guy, so that kind of makes it difficult. Might try and find a different one that offers the same liability insurance deal.
I will ring the guy tomorrow to get insurance details, and see how it goes. Crashes where it is not your fault are a bit of a hassle.

Help Hire are happy for you to use your own garage. I have done serveral times, but by all means have a look at other companies. I only brought up Help Hire because they were the first and the most well known.

I've heard bad things about Drive Assist, scamming you with damage to their hire cars but no experience of any of the others. If someone hits me again I plan on trying one just to see.
