Large screen for a cheaper price than the same size Plasma or Lcd
Con's
Restricted viewing angles, deeper cabinets and a lot more prone to screen burn than plasma's (lcd's don't suffer with screen burn) which is not an issue if you only use it for movies and tv but if you do a lot of gaming then you would need to be careful of screen burn

I dont know what crazy angles you lot view your tv's from but i have certainly never found viewing angles to be a problem on any of the RP sets ive had 
Yes they are more limited than a DV CRT or a DV digital, but all the same as long as you put the set at the right height (its the vertical viewing angle which is more of an issue) then there will be almost no issue at all.
The issue is just the size, the image quality from a digital RP is going to be directly comparible to a DV of the same spec, i wouldnt worry about anything else.
