Rear rack for a 27.5/2.8" MTB with no mounts?

Hi all,

Looking to do a bit of cycle touring this year but don't want to buy a dedicated bike due to space and no real need for something specific.

Wondering if anyone has any knowledge of racks and panniers that can be mounted onto a bike with no eyelets for racks? I've seen a few rack systems which come with an extended QR spindle to mount onto that, but wondering if anyone has first hand experience?

I've got an Axiom rack which started on a rim-braked road bike that didn't have any rack mount points. Mounted on the QR wheel skewer and behind the rear brake calliper. It's now on a frame which does have rack mounts on the seat stays but still uses the QR wheel skewer.

Ended up going for the Tailfin Alloy Rack, AP20 Top Bag and UD22 Pannier Bags.

Very expensive, but after spending many hours searching and coming to the conclusion that to buy a QR mount rack (Around £150-£250) and then some good quality bags on top of that, it wouldn't be that big of a stretch to go for the Tailfin.

Also, loved how quick and easy it is to remove and install, meaning I can go from bikepacking mode to mountainbiking mode within 60 seconds!

All installed and going out for a night camping next weekend, will report back
