Has anyone thought of adding a rear view camera to a motorbike.

I'm aways sick of not being able to see directly behind me, and I've seen a few car kits with a small screen and rear facing camera.

What do you think?

I think there was some guy who invented a bike helmet with mirror system that looking up you could see what was directly behind..

edit: this is it....

Actually looks a dam fine idea... will have to have a go on one of these purely from a 'ohh look theres the police' aspect lol

he means live feed, dont think hes stupid enough to record it :p

Cool idea, would be a great idea if you could modify the Powercommander3 monitor thing they do to accept input from camera, and just switch between the PC3 info and rearview camera.

That'd be pretty awesome for karting as well, when you've got a faster driver right behind you it's easy to lose loads of time trying to keep an eye on where they are so you can keep them behind you.

I tried the Reevu at a bike show once, wasn't very impressive. But I do remember some exotic low-run sports bike a while back that had a camera instead of mirrors. And sort of fake mirrors for handguards.
