Rear View Mirror Won't Stick!

Hi guys,

My GF and I cannot get her rear view mirror to stay stuck to the windscreen in her Mk5 Fiesta.

We have tried sticky pads from halfords and I have also bought this adhesive/mesh pack designed for this use.

It just won't stick.

We have thorougly cleaned the glass with nail varnish remover before hand.

Is there a recommended product that will stick like ****?

Would be nice if I could do it today too since we're driving daan saath later for a weekend away.

The windscreen place near me are really good.

Last time I went there was to enquire if a crack in my windscreen was too big to repair. It was so they replaced it for a great price, despite me not having my wallet on me (I told them this before they started working on the car).

I just popped back down a little while later and paid, it's nice when they show a little trust in humanity like that!

I will try to pop there on my way out later today. Hopefully they'll stick it up!
