Hi everyone. I need to get a dedicated turbo trainer spare wheel. It currently has a 10-speed (105/5700) cassette. Why do some wheels say for use with 8/9 Speed Cassette? Cheers.

8, 9 and 10 speed cassettes are the same width, so a 10 speed cassette should go on an 8 speed wheel. It's only 11 speed that is wider, at which point you need a spacer.

Edit: the above is not entirely true, you may need spacers, you may not.
