Years ago, on the recommendation of this forum, I got some superb compatible batteries for my Canons (BP-11). They were a great price and still going strong, every bit as good as the originals.

Now I have a new camera which tales LP-E6, and looking around, I see bad reviews and wildly varying prices.

I can't remember where I got my BP-11s, so can anyone recommend a good source of LP-E6. I don't want the cheapest (I just want to know that they hold charge and are not going to explode inside my camera.

Thanks.

Check if ExPro do them. I've got a bunch of different batteries from them for my m43 gear and they've all been great. Better than my official battery, which did in fact explode slightly :p

I've always had my compatible batteries (mostly Canon BP-511 / 511A) from the place where you can shop 7 days (not sure if they're considered sufficiently competitor to name directly...).

I'd never had any problems with them and I'd buy them from there again.

most are pretty decent just avoid cheap no brand ebay jobbies I've had some Duracell ones in the past which have been excellent not super cheap but reliable.

Just stay clear from Energizer as I had a couple for my 70D and the charger just kept flashing, worked on an older charger from a 60D though... Best to find reviews for your particular camera when going for compatible batteries.

The Hahnel ones are superb. [Edit: Ive only used the extremes but ive got 20+ that are used every day. £35 each, approx.]
