Looking for a reasonable laptop with an absolute max budget of £450 but would ideally like to spend less than £400.

I don't like Acer's simply because my mate has had two and they have both overheated all the time and broken loads. They look like such good value but you pay for what you get I guess.

Main uses for the laptop will be net browsing and work in Visual Studio 2005/XNA, with some work in flash CS3 and Photoshop too. Not looking to game on this laptop other than the creations I make in XNA :)

Any suggestions would be great, I'm looking to buy after Xmas so hopefully even some bargains to be had then....

Cheers
Steve

Dell vostro with integrated graphics, if you dont want to game i cant see how you can go wrong with one.

Have a look on their site, should easily get one for that price i think
